Description

These lost head nails have thin, only 1.1 mm shank (wire gauge 17) and they are specially polished and treated for smooth shank and tip so they do not cut or tear apart leather while lasting.
They are made of steel and are copper plated so they will not leave a stain on leather. They will also not rust so you can keep them on stock for decades.
1.1mm shank nails are medium thin an
d best for medium thick leather
. Because they are the best ratio between length and thickness you will not damage lasts.
If you work with thick leather and you have lasts from hard material,
choose 1.4x26mm lasting nails
(check other listings).
For very fine and thick leather or for
small shoes you can use 0.9mm shank nails
